I always knew that one I could make money online, but until recently I didn’t know just how much one could make. I recently came upon a site, that has, and still is teaching me how. I’ll get into that later. First, I want to let you know of a few ways.
eBay
Several years ago, when all the girls were still in school I used to list on eBay for a guy that knew his antiques. And we made quite a bit of money. Of course, he split it with me 50/50, so it was a good deal for us both. He would purchase the items at auctions. He would even find some at flea markets. People that didn’t realize they had an antique and was selling it for dirt cheap, he would buy it up immediately.
Every Monday I would go to his house to pick up said items. He would have me list most items, starting out at .99 cents. None ever sold for that though. Occasionally, he would have me list one or two things at his house. Of course, telling me what to write and usually, it was those items that we did not start out at .99 cents. This guy knew his stuff, both my husband and I learned a lot from him.
I did most everything at my house. I’d research the item so that I would be able to list it and list it properly. We started all of our auctions on Monday evening, so they would end the following Monday evening. I think the least I made for one week, was $259.00. Of course, that was after the eBay fees and PayPal fees.
Imagine how much money you could make selling on eBay. And you could build a website, that you could then link to your eBay, and bring in even more buyers. We didn’t do that then, but imagine how much we could’ve made with a website, leading to our antiques we were selling.
My husband, I will be getting back into selling on eBay, after the new year. There are so many things you can sell on eBay. I know several people that make a full-time income selling on eBay. Having a website linking to your eBay items is just a plus for you.
You could do as my friend did, and sell certain things, or maybe you make jewelry, afghans, etc. Sell them on eBay!! Heck, we’re going through all of our things, and we’re going to sell them on eBay. Yup, you heard me right, and they do sell. We’re downsizing, all our girls are off and on their own. We don’t need this big house in Indiana. Making money online has made it possible for us to buy a fixer-upper down in Florida, on a couple acres of land. We go down there several times a year. Either to work on our home, or have a little vacation, or do both. All just depends on how long we are down there. I can take my laptop with me and work down there. I can work from anywhere!!
OK, so you don’t know how to build a website?? Don’t worry, I’ll address that in a bit.
Affiliate Marketing
I learned what affiliate marketing was, this year. And the possibilities with affiliate marketing are endless. You can build a website, and use affiliate marketing to make money. Whether you’re looking to make a little pocket money or a full-time income, it can be done if you apply yourself.
Now you can go in two directions with affiliate marketing. It’s a lot like eBay, except you have none of the listings that go along with listing on eBay. Nor do you have to have the product inventory, or worry about packing it that product properly, and then shipping it off, so it’ll arrive on time.
You can join stores, where you provide links from your website, to their store. You can earn a percentage of that sale. Each store offers a different percentage. I’ve seen some as low as 2.5% to 66%. There are so many different kinds of stores. And some of these places can be recurring income. For example a dating website. If someone joins and belongs to that dating site, let us say 7 months. They pay a fee every month, and I get a recurring percentage of that fee. After 7 months he/she may have met their soul mate, but that’s OK. Because I’ve done had 3 more people sign up within that 7 month period. Are you getting it yet? I’m making money, and I’m not even in front of my computer. I’m down at our Florida house, knocking out the walls in our dining room, but I’m still making money. Let’s be realistic, I did spend 5 hours online that morning. You can’t make money unless you dedicate yourself to what you’re doing, right?
Now, do you have a hobby that you are super passionate about?? Camping? Or hunting? Or fishing? What about makeup or skincare? You can then take affiliate marketing, join stores that sell the particular item(s), and sell just those items on your website. Let’s say you are a big camping buff. You build a website about camping. You can write articles about camping. Places you’ve been or places you want to go. Season-specific items, etc. And put links on your pages to that particular item(s). Are you starting to see the picture here?
Would You Like to Work from Home??
I came across Wealthy Affiliate, during an 18-month search I was doing, trying to find a job, I can do work from my home. And I found a lot of places that were willing to teach me how to make money online. But they all wanted my money upfront. One place wanted $9000, half up front, the other half when I was done. Now, if I just happened to have had $9000, and I gave it to them, without trying it out first, I’d be out a bunch of money. A good percentage of the places I found, upon further research, were nothing but scams. If you find a company that is guaranteeing to make you rich in a specific amount of time—it’s a scam. Luckily I never got involved with any of them. Mostly because I researched them, a lot. Or I just didn’t have the money. None of these places/companies offered to teach me anything for FREE! Learn how to build a website, and make money online, all from my home. It was exactly what I’ve been looking for, for last18 months!
That’s right, I did say free. You can actually do 10 lessons of Wealthy Affiliate training, for free!! I literally found no place, like Wealthy Affiliate, that offered anything for free. And like I mentioned a good 80% of them were scams. Anyplace offering to make you get-rich-quick, is a scam. If there was such a thing, we’d all be doing it and we’d all be rich!! Right?
Wealthy Affiliate offers you their first 10 lessons for free. Within those 10 lessons, you will learn how to build a website. Gone are the days of having to know HTML coding or fancy programming. Wealthy Affiliates platform makes it simple. And is done in less than 5 minutes.
What do you get for free?
Wealthy Affiliates is world-class training. There is literally nothing online that is like it. You’ll get Level 1 training, that includes those 10 lessons. It gets you started. All of these lessons have video training. Each video breaks the lesson down and shows you and tells you what needs to be done. If you get stuck on say Lesson 3, go into Live Chat, and ask your question. It will get answered. I’ve never gone in there to ask a question, and not leave with an answer.
There are articles to read, so many different articles. Some are very educational. There are success stories. And just some articles that are about everyday experiences with affiliate marketing. All of these articles are written by members of Wealthy Affiliate. And members of Wealthy Affiliate is the best folks around. Like you, their there to learn how to make money online. Many are already making money online. And they enjoy teaching/helping others. Who best to learn from, then those already succeeding?? They truly want to see you succeed. For me, it is the most positive place I can go online. Who can’t use more positive in their life?? Especially if you are learning along the way I have struck up so many friendships in the Wealthy Affiliate community. I love it there. And I get a lot of my inspiration there!! I can’t say enough about the training or the community.
Back to what you’ll be learning for free. Once your website is built, your training continues. It teaches you about keywords and writing content for your website. I know this may sound scary/difficult/etc, but it’s not. Take it from me, I’m a gal from Brooklyn, NY and I don’t have the best spelling. In fact, my grammar stinks, I write like I talk, a New Yawka (Yorker). No worries, the editor that you write in at Wealthy Affiliate has a grammar checker. And if you enjoy writing, then you got a step up on many.
You will choose a niche, something that you’re passionate about. Or something you have a lot of knowledge on. I know one guy that his niche is tattoo machines and equipment. His website is awesome. And he knows his stuff too.
Then you’ll be shown how to build your own website. Your very own site in which you’ll be taught how to make money with it. You’ll learn how to customize menu’s, on your site.
You’ll be taught how to write engaging content. Keywords are an important tool in writing engaging content. Content that will get you listed in Google, Yahoo and Bing. Once you get listed, the traffic will soon follow. And of course, soon, so will the cash flow.
That is a lot of training, to be getting for free. Once you’ve done your 10 training lessons, you will have your own website, that you’ll be writing content on. How to bring traffic to your site, and you’ll understand how to make money online.

What do you have to lose? A little of your time? That’s another thing about all of this, you get to be your own boss, and work on your schedule. Maybe you’re working a full-time job as it is but still would like some extra money to take that Disney World vacation with the family, next year. Then apply what time you can spare to learning how to make money online. Maybe a couple of hours a night during the week, and 12 hours on the weekend. You work it to fit your schedule.
